The Fresco work was originally inspired by the frescoes and architecture of Romanesque churches. Using watercolour and emulsion paint on tissue paper, the technique evolved in an effort to reflect the colour in the natural pigments used, the peeling paint and faded imagery and the effects of height and beams of light in the interior of the buildings.
